I was glad to be able to offer my huge congratulations in person to The Guardian’s Amelia Gentleman for winning the prestigious Paul Foot award for investigative and campaigning journalism. She earned the award for her exemplary reporting on the Windrush scandal. Both my constituents and I are deeply grateful for her tenacity in bringing the scandal to light.
